Through this new feature called self-enumeration online, people can now fill in their household details by themselves using their mobile phone or laptop.This method is quick and easy, just takes only 15 to 20 minutes to complete in any of the 16 available languages.

- Visit the official website at se.census.gov.in during the 15-day window assigned to your state.
- log in with your mobile number and use a digital map to pin your location.Answer 33 basic questions about your home and family members.These questions are related to things like the type of house you live in, the drinking water you use, and the assets you own, such as bicycles or smartphones.
- After the submission of the form, a unique Self-Enumeration ID (SE ID) will be received via text or email. Make sure to keep this ID safe!
